This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Modesto is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Ordered the large combo with lobster. Shrimp, extra sausages, clams and crawfish with added corn an potatoes. Got the lemon pepper and garlic butter mix. Sometimes atomic is too much flavor. Servive was great! Food always good. Soo hot it took me a while to tear open the lobster. Large garlic pieces! Also ordered some Korean spicy wings and a dozen raw oysters. Excellent raw oysters at this location in Modesto. Didn't take any pictures as 9 of us were already knee deep in a mess and it was all worth it. Even for nonseafood eaters, the chicken wings are great and the tenders with fries are large portions. Fries with Calun seasoning is great but try it with adding lemon pepper also. Gives it another flavor level. Soda comes in togo cups already so ask for another togo before you leave. If you have any bagged leftovers, ask for an additional bag to prevent leaks when taking it home. Unfortunately I ate mine all....no leftovers.

I crave for Bag O' Crab every once in a while. Who doesn't like getting messy while you eat as long as you have a bib and gloves? We have had good luck with servers - they were friendly and energetic. They genuinely seemed enthusiastic to be there. The music and atmosphere are such a vibe. If you don't finish your meal and need to take your food home, they give you a cute little insulated bag if you ask for it.

The restaurant over all was dirty the bathrooms included. I got combo number 4 that came with the 1lb of lobster/ crab and 1 lb of shrimp, crawfish, mussels, clams with the potatoes, corn, and sausage. I was very disappointed to find one piece of sausage, all the mussels and clams were empty. The potatoes and corn are tiny. The service lacked genuine care for our needs. There is no plates to properly serve oneself and no bucket to throw away the trash. I was very disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this seafood restaurant, and it was an absolute treat from start to finish. Every dish was bursting with freshness and flavor, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, letting the natural richness of the seafood shine through. The portions were generous, the presentation beautiful, and the balance of flavors truly elevated the experience. It’s rare to find a place where each bite feels so satisfying and memorableβ€”I’ll definitely be coming back for more.
